Become a Good Neighbors Partner and
Make a Change in Blount County
Ways you can partner with us.
Our partners who support the Good Neighbors mission with a yearly, quarterly, or
monthly donations are recognized on our website and in our social media postings.
They are also included in our marketing for special events and fundraisers. A local area church or business can refer Neighbors in need to one central agency that will meet with the Neighbors and help find solutions to the temporary crisis they are facing.
We accomplish this though individualized coaching that will look beyond the surface need of help with rent or utility bill and identify ways for the Neighbor to gain self-sufficiency and self-sustainability.
A community partner may choose to contribute to a specific program or fund:
- Educational Budget Program where Neighbors participate in free courses for up to a year as they gain valuable knowledge about finances and build healthy money habits.
- S.U.R.E. (Secure Utility and Rent Entry) Deposit Program that helps Neighbors better prepare for the extra move-in costs that are required when renting a home or apartment.
- Our GRACE Fund is a special fund that is dedicated for assisting families in dire need to avoid eviction or utility disconnection. The goal is to make a lasting and significant difference for a Neighbor.
